Subcommittee on Asset Management Bi-Monthly Meeting
Asset management is a strategic and systematic process of operating, maintaining, upgrading, and expanding physical assets effectively throughout their lifecycle. It focuses on business and engineering practices for resource allocation and utilization, with the objective of better decision making based upon quality information and well-defined objectives. The focus of the subcommittee is on the development, implementation, and use of asset management principles related to the condition and performance of physical assets and its effect on the performance of the multimodal transportation system in order to optimize the condition of an agency’s assets given available resources.
